Teach Yourself Visually Microsoft Office 2003

For those who like to find their own way rather than join a class to learn something this book is great for learning about the nuances of MS Office 2003. The Visually series make excellent use of screen grabs scattered liberally through the text. This makes it easy to translate what you are reading to what you will see on the screen.

Mavis Beacon Teaches Microsoft Office

Some of our readers may remember the Mavis Beacon Typing software. It was a well known package in its time and probably helped many a secretary learn how to type.

How To Do Everything With Digital Video How To Do Everything With Digital Video
Many Seniors like to travel and see places they have never visited before now that they have time on their hands. To help retain the memories we usually take a still camera along and, increasingly these days, video cameras, as still shots so often seem to miss something. Adobe InDesign for Desktop Publishing

I wouldn’t be doing you any favours if I didn’t point out that this package is for the serious user wanting to create top class documents. If you have worked with Microsoft Word then you will have some idea of how this type of program can produce some very professional looking publications or documents which contain a variety of inclusions from pictures to tables plus footnotes, indexes etc. Having said that it is in a class above Word with its flexibility and finish.

McAfee Virus Scan
Anyone that has ever been ill with a virus knows that it is definitely not a pleasant experience! A computer virus is much the same thing, except instead of attacking your health, it attacks the health of your computer; and believe me when I tell you it is just as inconvenient and gives you just as big a headache as being sick

Card Studio 3 Deluxe from Hallmark
If you are like me, you find the quality of greeting cards very poor these days as well as expensive. All these crude cartoon type illustrations leave me cold unless I am looking for a patently funny card. Give me the quality cards of yore when it comes to expressing feelings and sentiment. So what do we do?

Some time back we were treated to the frightening spectacle on TV of a computer being taken over by a third party via the Internet.
