Thou shalt play fair

SeniorLink cannot tolerate disruptive activity online, such as persistent off-topic comments and postings or statements that incite others to violate this Terms of Use or participate in illegal activities.

Thou shalt not spam

Please don't "spam" through the chat or forums. Spamming includes sending identical and irrelevant submissions to many different discussion groups, mailing lists or communities. Usually such postings have nothing to do with the particular topic of the group or are of no real interest to those on the mailing list.

To spam also includes misrepresenting the source of anything you say or post. Spamming is a serious violation of online etiquette.

We reserve the right to ban a member at any time, without notice, for spamming.

Thou shalt take responsibility

You are responsible and liable for all your activities while participating in SeniorLink membership areas. You are responsible for any actions you may take based on advice or information you receive online. Use your own good judgment when evaluating information provided through chat or forums, the information you are reading could be from people of any age, gender or experience.

Thou shall not use SeniorLink membership services for commercial gain

SeniorLink provides chat facilities and forums exclusively to SeniorLink members to help people make contact with one another, it is not a place to promote or advertise products or services (to advertise your product or service, please refer to our advertisers page at www.seniorlink.com.au/advertising.shtml) or publish inappropriate material. SeniorLink reserves the right to modify or delete listings at any time.

Thou shalt protect your own privacy

We advise you not to give out personal details such as credit card numbers, names and addresses, email addresses or other personal data to strangers online. These may be used for illegal or harmful purposes.

What chance do I have of winning?

Odds of winning each prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the drawing.

If I win, how will I be notified?

Winners will be notified by email. We reserve the right to publish winners' names on our site and in our publications. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the sponsor and its agencies to use winner's name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Is my information kept private?

All information will be kept confidential - we do not transfer or resell our marketing databases to other organisations for use in their online or direct mail marketing campaigns.

How long do I have to receive prize?

Winners will have up to 14 days from the date of attempted notification to respond to the notification. Winner may make no substitution or transfer of prize.

Each winner may be required to provide SeniorLink with proof that the winner is the authorised account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize, or fails to return a completed and executed affidavit and release as required, an alternate winner will be selected.

What am I responsible for?

All federal and state taxes, insurance, licensing, registration and title fees are the sole responsibility of the winner. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal value.

When do I own the prize?

Title to goods is retained by SeniorLink until goods are distributed and at that time title passes to the winner, upon receipt of goods.

What else do I need to know?

By participating in a promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges.

SeniorLink will not be responsible for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated or illegible or misdirected mail, for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit a user's ability to participate in the promotion.
